Therapeutic Group Weekend

A group counseling weekend offers participants an opportunity to learn self-awareness, communication and other problem solving skills from one another in an intensive, yet supportive setting. The group involves personal sharing, discussion and therapeutic work through experiential, self-awareness activities. A group consists of adults of all ages and backgrounds. An assessment is required to attend a group weekend, but no previous group experience is necessary.

Group Counseling

Group counseling offers participants the opportunity to learn self-awareness, communication and other problem-solving skills from one another in an intensive, yet supportive setting. The group involves personal sharing, discussion and experiential activities to facilitate therapeutic work.

  • This group will include adults of many ages and backgrounds.
  • New clients must schedule an individual assessment to discuss the appropriateness of attending a counseling group.
  • This group will have a maximum of eight participants.

Therapeutic Writing Group Counseling

This is a behavioral health writing group. Participants will be assisted and encouraged to delve into the internal territory of emotion and identity through the written word. Other therapeutic experiential exercises may also be used to explore creativity and behavioral health.

  • This group will include adults of many ages and backgrounds.
  • New clients must schedule an individual assessment to discuss the appropriateness of attending a counseling group.
  • This group will have a maximum of eight participants.

Therapeutic Writing Class

This class is an introduction to the written word as a way of exploring the internal territory of emotion and identity. Participants will have the opportunity to learn writing techniques, participate in incredible discussion, and be able to use the class as a "writer's workshop," when participants read their writing and receive feedback. Previous classes have been both fun and interesting.

  • This group will include adults of many ages and backgrounds.
  • This class is not a counseling group and does not require an assessment.
  • This group will have a maximum of ten participants.
